From Loss to Launch: Chapter One

This is not just a relocation update. It’s a closing of one chapter, and the quiet but determined opening of another.

This is my reflection on loss, movement, and the quiet strength we carry forward.

In those last sacred weeks, I saw time stretch and shrink. I learned that grief is not just sorrow—it is love, unspent.

Echoes of the Beginning: A Tribute to My Father

There are moments in life that mark us.
Some with thunder.
Some with silence.
This one came quietly—the slow realization that my father, Mbūrū ISM Gītaū ‘Phangah, had completed his earthly journey.

In the weeks that followed, I found myself searching—not for answers, but for presence. His voice. His lessons. His laughter. And most of all, his legacy.

My father was many things: a mentor, a builder, a teacher, a dreamer, and above all, a man who gave his full self to those he loved. Whether guiding students through Aberdare Peaks Academy, pruning coffee trees on our farm, or simply listening to trumpets and jazz in the evening, he moved with intention. Always nurturing. Always creating space for others to grow.

In his final days, we shared quiet drives and quiet dreams. We spoke about the future—of chicken cold storage, of smart villages, of community transformation. Even as time folded around us, his spirit remained forward-facing.

One of the last gifts we shared was a drive in my golden Mercedes E200. He adored that car—not for what it cost, but for what it meant. It became the vessel of our final conversations. Our last father-son meal. The last ride to the hospital. The last moment he walked.

I wrote a memoir for him.
Not because I had all the words.
But because I couldn’t let him go in silence.

It’s called Echoes of the Beginning. It is not just a tribute—it is a return. A return to memory, to meaning, to the soil that raised us. It’s a map of what he left behind and a guide for how I will carry him forward.

Today, I share the first pages of that story with you.

And now, in what feels like divine timing, I find myself packing my bags for Dubai. Not to escape, but to expand. To begin anew. To follow through on what my father instilled in me: a fire to build, a duty to serve, and a spirit that must keep moving.

The Compounded Life Plan

This move is part of a larger story—one I call The Compounded Life Plan—my personal and professional roadmap to becoming a Global Scale Strategist. It’s about aligning income with impact, and daily action with divine purpose.

Dubai signals a strategic shift—into new markets, fertile ground, and a more expansive mission.

To those who’ve walked with me through the ache, thank you.

To those I’ll meet on this next stretch of road—let’s build, let’s honour those who came before us, and let’s move with intention.

Onward.
In memory. In motion.
